For decades, Thompson Associates – now part of Pitney Bowes MapInfo – has provided location research and consulting for retail and restaurant chains. Recently the company has also targeted financial services companies aiming to find the best new sites for branches. They invited us to create an ad directed specifically to banks. We faced two tough challenges: a tight budget and an even tighter deadline. The metaphorical approach we devised was simple enough to be delivered on time and on budget, yet bold enough to convey the client’s value proposition clearly.
